Dedication. Skills. Passion.

Founder of the Festival
Philippe Taminiaux
Founder of the Festival International Nature Namur, Philippe launched the adventure in 1995 with an evening dedicated to amateur films. Little did he know that this passion would evolve into a festival, propelling it to the top of European festivals dedicated to nature and imagery.
For 30 years, he has provided invaluable support to the Festival, which has become a true reflection of his dedication, accompanying it to the success it enjoys today.
His passion for the animal world has led him to social and environmental awareness projects around the globe. If you’re waiting for Philippe on one project, you’ll find him already working on the next step of its realization. Passionate, driven, and a perfectionist, he has the eye and the desire to share the wonders of nature with the public.

President of the Festival
Tanguy Dumortier
A hunter of images or stories, Tanguy has been the President of the Festival International Nature Namur since 2019. Every Sunday, you can find him on TV during the Jardin Extraordinaire show on RTBF. Throughout October, you’ll see him on stage for a presentation at the Festival's galas or simply in the audience as a true fan of beautiful images.
Every year, at the closing of the Festival, he is present with the Jardin Extraordinaire teams to present exclusive episodes of the iconic show.

Treasurer of the Festival
Bruno Hilgers
A member of various documentary festival juries and a co-organizer of the Festival International Nature Namur for 20 years, Bruno brings an important artistic touch with his passion for culture. Head of the film division for 15 years and a member of the professional juries, Bruno has excellent critical qualities and an innate sense for spotting the talents of tomorrow.

Photography Consultant
Michel D’Oultremont
A wildlife photographer, Michel captures his animal encounters from all corners of the world. Since his childhood, he has been captivated by the wonders of wild fauna. Every observation, whether it's of garden birds or majestic mammals, has ignited a boundless passion within him. For him, each image is a moment of emotion captured, a symphony of feelings that guides his photographic approach.
At the FINN, Michel serves as a juror for the selection of photos in our various professional competitions. He brings a meticulous eye to the images, ensuring that both the subjects and locations are respected. Proud to share his passion, he also offers personalized coaching to young talents presenting their work at the Young Talent Showcase.

Head of Exhibitions and Artwork
Paul Bauwens
A nature enthusiast and eternal lover of poetic photography, Paul has been a steadfast supporter of the FINN for 10 years. Present throughout the year, he takes special care in managing the Festival's relationships. He has an impressive memory of the photographers who have passed through the FINN. You will find Paul in his most important role, on his favorite playground, at the Citadel of Namur, during the setup of the Nature Village and other surrounding infrastructures.

Head of Archives and Pre-selection Jury
Evelyne Poll
Evelyne has been part of the Festival since its beginnings. From representing the Festival to welcoming guests in the screening rooms during Gala evenings, there is no role that Evelyne has not experienced over the years. She alone possesses the most precise knowledge of the Festival's history and archives.
A trained biologist, Evelyne watches, analyzes, and provides relevant critique for each film submitted to our competitions. It's not 1500 hours of wildlife documentaries that will prevent her from fulfilling her mission with excellence.

Nature Guide Consultant and Head of Professional Jury
Romain De Jaegere
Romain is an amateur photographer but a budding naturalist. He plays a key role in the Festival's juries as an experienced nature guide. He shares his passionate love for nature with both young and old curious visitors at the Nature Village, in his simple and engaging way.
You’re more likely to spot him in the field, in between rescuing animals, than behind his desk. His passion and respect for biodiversity have led him to the position of coordinator at CREAVES in Namur.
If, and only if, all the meticulous pre-established conditions are met during the Festival, you may get the chance to share one of the exceptional moments that animate his life—the release of birds rehabilitated at the center.

Consultant at the Walloon Public Service (SPW)
Violaine Fichefet
Violaine is a trained biologist and ecologist. She has been working at the Walloon Public Service since 2001, in a department specializing in the study of Walloon biodiversity and its evolution over time. She coordinated the monitoring of bioindicators such as butterflies and dragonflies for 12 years before focusing on mammals, particularly the wolf.
She is committed to promoting and making known the long-term data collected by the Administration and its partners at each stage of her work. This is why she participates in numerous communication projects and why her presence on the team, serving as a link between the Festival and the Administration, is a real added value.
